Your Role
As a Business Application Developer, you will be at the forefront of creating cutting-edge business applications using our AI-driven development process, built on top of our Business Operating System.
Your tasks will include:
- Develop state-of-the-art software components using advanced artificial intelligence services.
- Drive the full cycle of AI-enabled software engineering, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with design and product teams to define features and enhancements that meet the needs of both current and future customers.

Core Database Engine Developer (Rust Developer)
Location: Cape Town
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- You will work with an incredible team of world-class developers to deliver the core data engine of the Everest ERP platform.
- Design and implement core services such as sandboxing and other shared functionalities used across the ERP.
- Develop mechanisms to expose stored data to AI systems, unlocking insights for customers while ensuring security and reliability.
- Learn from and collaborate with experienced engineers on systems programming and database internals.
- Contribute to defining the product roadmap, working closely with application developers and users in the innovative field of AI-powered ERPs.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Strong interest and experience in databases and systems-level development.
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL or Aurora is a plus, heavy user experience for a database system is required; development-level knowledge is a strong plus.
- Required is experience in Rust or a similar systems programming language such as C++
- Experience integrating and using LLMs is a plus
- Solid problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow into more complex responsibilities over time.
WHAT YOU'VE ALREADY DONE
- 0–3 years of professional experience as a software engineer.
- Worked extensively with PostgreSQL or other database systems as a core part of your projects.

Compensation
Compensation for this role consists of a base salary and an options grant, with the base salary expected to range from $50,000 to $60,000, plus commission. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience.

Software Developer

What you need
